The DooGee X5 Max is the first Android Smartphone to offer the Low End Chip Mediatek MT6737, the successor to the MT6732, the newer class chipset and boasts better efficiency and battery performance. More so, the phone also comes with a large 4000mAh battery with support for Powerbank mode or reverse charging. It runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a customized DooGee UI. Because of the giant battery, it is 10mm thick, meaning it is chunky.

Speaking of Battery performance, DooGee has released a sample video demonstration comparing the battery performance to the iPhone 6s Plus. Take note that this is a crude test and is limited only to video playback.

Another batch of Low End Androids

It is a Low End Android, meaning performance isn’t really it’s forte. The phone’s biggest asset is probably the giant battery and support for Fingerprint ID. Which you don’t normally see on phones these cheap. The 4000mAh is also a welcome addition and also worth mentioning, that the new chipset promises much better performance and efficiency compared to it’s older MT6732. So, if you want battery life, and a cheap smartphone with good 4G LTE support, then the DooGee X5 Max will be up your alley. It doesn’t offer the best camera, as well greatest features, but for the price, it is certainly worth it.

Highlights of DooGee X5 Max:

  • First to Android to offer Mediatek MT6737 chipset
  • Very Cheap 4G capable Android Smartphone

  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • Supports 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Storage
