The HDC Melody P92 is a powerful budget phablet that closely resembles the look of Huawei Ascend P6. The looks are uncanny although the P6 only has a 4.7 inch Display compared to the 6.0 inch from the Melody. If you want to know about the Huawei Ascend P6, you may refer below.

Back to the HDC Melody P92, the design and looks are uncannily similar. Although this is no surprise to China phones especially HDC, which spits out clones by the dozen. One of the biggest gripe with the phone is the lack of 1080p Display, which will surely put off some users. Although a bit cheaper than other 1080p capable phones, the sacrifice to screen resolution is not worth it. Considering that it comes with some well needed connectivity’s.

Despite a lower resolution display, the Melody P92 comes with some interesting and welcomed features, namely support for NFC, GPS with GLONASS and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box a very which is a major plus for the phone. It supports 3G up to HSDPA+ data speeds via WCDMA frequencies and supports Dual Sim with Dual Standby.

Thus, despite its limitations, the Melody still manages to hold ground from other budget Octa Core smartphones. Support for NFC, GLONASS and Android 4.4 Kitkat will surely appeal to many. Plus, its also a bit cheaper compared to other 1080p capable smartphones available. If you can live without the 1080p display, then the Melody P92 is a solid phone full of connectivity options you need and at 6.0 inch, its a good alternative for a tablet.

The HDC Melody P92 currently retails around $235 and is available here.
