Huawei Mate 9 – Perhaps the most gorgeous Flagship Phablet with Dual Cameras by Leica

Huawei’s best looking Phablet Flagship also rolls out an impressive 20 mp Camera made by Leica. It is built to last and offers one of the best alternative to the defunct Galaxy Note 7.

Huawei makes great phones, but cheap? No, their pricing sticks close to other big names in the market. Even though this article is a bit late, but I have to acknowledge that the Huawei Mate 9 is one really good looking phone. It has the signature premium look from the past Flagships of Huawei, and given that it is pricy, you can see the craftsmanship as well as the materials are top notch. Another highlight of this Phablet is the option for Daydream VR, which is for Virtual Reality, but at only 1080p, it is a bit limited I might expect. The camera is also one of its strongest feature, offering Dual Rear CMOS Cameras from Leica that offers features like Light Painting, Bokeh Effects and more.

Pricey but well worth it

The Huawei Mate 9 sits close now compared to the Xiaomi Mi Mix, or it is even cheaper. But I think, it does offer great value for the price. It isn’t the perfect Smartphone, but it does hold up a lot on its sleeve making it a great option for Phablet lovers out there. The Leica Camera proves to be quite a performer but seems to struggle especially on low light situations. But on good lighting, you can get very detailed shots and videos with up to 4K video and OIS support. The 20 MP Monochrome and 12 MP RGB Camera sensors capture in great detail shots with varying depths on Contrast levels. The Dual Camera also allows Bokeh effects but the feature is a bit of a hit or miss. Anyway, the Huawei Mate 9, just like the Huawei P9 is a great looking Flagship that is built to last, and if you are looking for a very capable and reliable Flagship, then this phone fits your choice.
