The LeTV LeEco Le 2 X625 is the successor to the popular LeTV Le 1 which featured the Helio X10. The LeEco 2 X620 features the new Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset, which is said to quite an improvement, it is a Deca Core chipset that can turbo clock up to 2.3 GHz depending on the demands. According to Mediatek, the improvements are more noticeable on Multitasking rather than Single task workload. Furthermore, the phone will also offer 3 GB RAM and 32 GB eMMC Storage out of the box. It will also run EUI 5.6, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. A side note from LeTV, the newer EUI 5.8 version will be available this June 2016.
CDLA (Continuous Digital Lossless Audio)
The phone is said to offer the very first CDLA enabled headphone port (USB Type C), which is said to boost overall audio quality and performance.
Some of the features to watch out for:
4K Video Recording. The LetV Le 2 will boast 4K video recording @ 30 fps out of the box. It will also support 1080p @ 60 fps and 720p HD recording at 120 fps.
16 mp PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) and BSI CMOS. On paper, the camera comes out as a real shooter, although not yet known if it is actually better than what we already have today. The camera will also offer a Ball Typed Closed loop motor.
USB Type C (Le Fast Quick Charging). The Le Fast Charging support courtesy of the USB Type C Port available. Although an additional feature is the CDLA support.
VoLTE and featured packed connectivity. The handset readily supports 4G LTE or VoLTE up to 300Mbps. However, the frequencies are mostly supported on Asian Regions.
On paper, a real contender for the best value Smartphone of 2016
At a glance, the specs shown by the LeTV LeEco Le 2 X620 are quite impressive. LeTV has been known to make premium quality Smartphones, and I think the Le 2 will follow suit. It’s also no surprise that they splurge out on Technical features but still remain on a very agreeable price tag. As of this moment Helio X20 or Deca Core phones are not that many. It would be interesting too see the improvements over the last generation as well as how the Le 2 stack against other more expensive Flagship devices.
