Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Early Review – The best 18:9 Midranger?
Here is my unboxing and early review of what can possibly be the best value Midranger Smartphone that has an 18:9 Screen. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus sports an 18:9 Screen Ratio with a mid-tier Snapdragon 625 chip. It runs the latest Miui 9.2.6 and is also the global version.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa Core
GPU: Adreno 506
RAM: 3 GB LPDDR3
ROM: 32 GB eMMC
Expansion: Supports MicroSD up to 128GB
Well, just basing on my first impression with this Smartphone, it is probably one of the best priced midranger available. Although it lacks other trendy features like Dual Cameras or Face ID unlock, everything works as it should. Performance is surprisingly good and that includes gaming, and connectivity is near excellent. The camera performs well and it is basically what you expect from a midrange Smartphone. A no fuss, no gimmick Smartphone.
