A bigger version of the Xiaomi Redmi 4x

One of the best priced Midranger available

Well, just basing on my first impression with this Smartphone, it is probably one of the best priced midranger available. Although it lacks other trendy features like Dual Cameras or Face ID unlock, everything works as it should. Performance is surprisingly good and that includes gaming, and connectivity is near excellent. The camera performs well and it is basically what you expect from a midrange Smartphone. A no fuss, no gimmick Smartphone.

First Impressions (PROS)

  • Premium build, polished aluminum with great ergonomics
  • Decent 18:9 Screen (2160 x 1080p)
  • Decent Midrange Performance
  • Clean OS, Global ROM, supports multi-language and no bloatwares
  • Miui 9.2.6 (updated), based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat
  • Has a lot of useful apps (word, powerpoint etc…) built in
  • No issues with performance or apps
  • Fast and Stable GPS performance, great for point to point navigation
  • So far Dual Band Wireless Performance is excellent, no issue with connectivity
  • Good 12 mp rear camera performance
  • Hybrid Dual SIM Card Support (Memory Expansion via MicroSD)
  • Fast Charger 5V 2A included
  • Above average Audio Quality of the loudspeakers
  • 3.5mm Audio is clean and has good audio
  • Fast and Accurate Fingerprint ID

Cons:

  • No USB Type C, still stuck with MicroUSB 2.0
  • No Dual Camera Feature
